Echo

Terms of Use

Effective: 13 October 2026

These terms govern your use of Echo, a push-to-talk app, its servers and the website echoptt.com (together, "Echo"), provided by the developer of Echo ("we", "us"). By installing or using Echo you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Echo.

1. The service

Echo lets people talk in real time in voice channels. Echo is provided free of charge, "as is" and "as available". We may change, suspend or stop any part of Echo at any time, without notice.

2. Not for emergencies or critical use

Echo is not a substitute for emergency services, a phone line or any communication system on which safety, health, property or business depend. Voice may be delayed, distorted or lost, and the service may be unavailable — because of the network, servers, the phone, its battery or settings, or other reasons. Do not rely on Echo where a failure of communication could cause harm or loss. In an emergency, contact emergency services by other means.

3. Who may use Echo

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age for digital services in your country, if higher). If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian agrees to your use of Echo.

4. Your conduct

You are responsible for what you say and share through Echo, including your nickname and channel names. You must not:

We may block devices, remove channels or restrict access, temporarily or permanently, without notice, if we believe these terms are broken or to protect Echo and its users. Open channels are public: anyone who knows a channel's name may join. Use private channels for private talks.

5. Content of others

Voice and nicknames come from users. We do not monitor, record or approve them and are not responsible for what other users say. You can report abuse to echoptt.dev@gmail.com.

6. No warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Echo is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, availability, reliability, accuracy, security and non-infringement. We do not warrant that Echo will be uninterrupted, timely or error-free, or that voice will be delivered.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, business, data, reputation or goodwill, or for any non-material (moral) damage, arising out of or related to Echo or these terms — including from reliance on Echo, from its unavailability, from loss or delay of voice, or from the conduct or content of other users — even if we were advised of the possibility of such damages. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for Echo in the 12 months before the claim (if any), or EUR 10, whichever is greater.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, such as liability for intent, gross negligence or harm to life, body or health, or your rights as a consumer under mandatory law.

8. Indemnity

You agree to compensate us for claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these terms or your unlawful use of Echo, to the extent permitted by law.

9. Intellectual property

Echo, its name, logo, app and website belong to us or our licensors. Open source components are used under their licenses (see Settings → Open source licenses in the app). These terms do not give you any right to our trademarks.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. The new version is published on this page with its effective date; continuing to use Echo after that means you accept it. If you do not accept the changes, stop using Echo and uninstall it.

11. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Poland, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. This does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer laws of your country of residence. If any provision is found invalid, the rest remains in force.
